Yucatan F.C.'s Apolo Opilano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stefan Söder in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 12 minutes into the match, Benicio Loiola notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Westra Aros SK's Stefan Söder. Stefan Söder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 20 minutes into the match, Tião Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stefan Söder. Westra Aros SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tião Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After having played for 23 minutes, Benicio Loiola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yucatan F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Benicio Loiola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 26 minutes, Benicio Loiola made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Westra Aros SK's Stefan Söder tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 29 minutes into the game, Yucatan F.C.'s Benicio Loiola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stefan Söder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The audience was convinced that Apolo Opilano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stefan Söder was relentless in the 35th minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Baggio to make the kick off. Ruben Lluterio charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Stefan Söder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yucatan F.C. made a substitution. Juan Gabriel replaced Tião Alcântara. Yucatan F.C.'s Higinio Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Baggio in the 68th minute of play. Apolo Opilano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stefan Söder having to make a save. Stefan Söder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Apolo Opilano went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. 81 minutes into the match, Westra Aros SK's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Lugo came free, but Stefan Söder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Yucatan F.C.'s Juan Gabriel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stefan Söder. That made the score 0-10 after 84 minutes of play. Angel Matai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Stefan Söder made a huge save. When Benicio Loiola came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Yucatan F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benicio Loiola couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Westra Aros SK booed when Yucatan F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Lluterio didn't get a good kick on the ball.
