The supporters of Altos Gatos FC booed when Yucatan F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Gartzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Pueblo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Santo in the 10th minute of the match. Altos Gatos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Javier Santo in the 13th minute. Altos Gatos FC's Javier Santo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Higinio Pueblo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 15 minutes in the game, Tião Alcântara fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Christian Kiliz having to interfere. Higinio Pueblo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Javier Santo went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Apolo Opilano got free with Christian Kiliz in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benicio Loiola's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Christian Kiliz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 25 minutes into the game, Benicio Loiola lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Christian Kiliz. After a defensive mix-up in Yucatan F.C.'s zone, Milosz Majczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Higinio Pueblo came out of the goal and Milosz Majczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 29 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's Javier Santo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Pueblo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute of the match Altos Gatos FC got a corner. Yucatan F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Javier Santo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Javier Santo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Higinio Pueblo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Javier Santo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Pueblo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Javier Santo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ruben Lluterio charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruben Lluterio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th match minute, Yucatan F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Lluterio to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute Javier Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Javier Santo sped through Yucatan F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Higinio Pueblo. If Javier Santo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Javier Santo was the one to do the kick off. Higinio Pueblo was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Javier Santo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Javier Santo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Altos Gatos FC made a substitution. Everardo Chago replaced Faustino Orlo. Altos Gatos FC's Carolo Abancens was substituted for Javier Santo. In the 66th minute, Milosz Majczyk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milosz Majczyk hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Agustin Villalobos might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Pueblo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 75th minute Carolo Abancens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Kiliz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Gabriel in the 76th minute of the match. Carolo Abancens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Higinio Pueblo made a huge save. Altos Gatos FC's Agustin Villalobos got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yucatan F.C. made a substitution. Enzo Manny replaced Benicio Loiola. 90 minutes into the match, Yucatan F.C.'s goalkeeper Higinio Pueblo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carolo Abancens. If Carolo Abancens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Gabriel in the 95th minute of play. The Altos Gatos FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Altos Gatos FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
