The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute Johannes Støle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paradorn Todor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Barça Salvadoreño FC's goal looked a bit too open when Veli Vefa came free, but Paradorn Todor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paradorn Todor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Chitarroni in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Maggi Gonzáles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alvaro Cirelli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barça Salvadoreño FC's Paradorn Todor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Chitarroni in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the Barça Salvadoreño FC defense, Johannes Støle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paradorn Todor. The Barça Salvadoreño FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paradorn Todor should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Barça Salvadoreño FC's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto Donato came free, but Paradorn Todor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johannes Støle in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paradorn Todor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paradorn Todor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Støle in the 34th minute of play. Paradorn Todor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Chitarroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Fabrizio Vieri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Johannes Støle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paradorn Todor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kroton F.C. were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Barça Salvadoreño FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edgar Ieberink took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Cristiano Chitarroni got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paradorn Todor quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Maggi Gonzáles took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Alvaro Cirelli to make any attempt to save it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Concetto Donato was the one to do the kick off. Alvaro Cirelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Navas, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. With a little luck, Barça Salvadoreño FC's Paradorn Todor got control of the ball when Johannes Støle tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Barça Salvadoreño FC booed when Kroton F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Vieri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kroton F.C.'s Alvaro Cirelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maggi Gonzáles in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Cristiano Chitarroni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kroton F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Chitarroni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paradorn Todor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kroton F.C.'s Johannes Støle came free and shot a quick shot against goal 69 minutes in the game, fortunately Paradorn Todor had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After taking down the ball on Kroton F.C.'s corner Edgar Ieberink fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paradorn Todor quite easily take care of the ball. Paradorn Todor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 78 in the game by Johannes Støle from a close distance when the talented Paradorn Todor managed to make a qualified save. Barça Salvadoreño FC's players were relieved. Johannes Støle had several of the Barça Salvadoreño FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Paradorn Todor as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in Kroton F.C.'s zone, Alexander Navas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Cirelli came out of the goal and Alexander Navas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 3-3 became the score in the 83rd minute when Alexander Navas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Alvaro Cirelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maggi Gonzáles in the 88th minute of the match. Veli Vefa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Paradorn Todor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
