Lajos Vadász was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The throw-in from Lothar Reichel in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vęgoria Team's Szczepan Fiszer. Lothar Reichel hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Vęgoria Team's Emre Demir got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Vęgoria Team's goalkeeper Bogdan Pilarski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uğur Erkovich. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şinasi Derem was the one to do the kick off. Bogdan Pilarski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uğur Erkovich in the 54th minute of the match. Lajos Vadász showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Pavlidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Aytekin Akkın replaced Şinasi Derem. Vęgoria Team's Roman Sierocki was substituted for Vaggelis Pavlidis. The crowd rose to their feet as Roman Sierocki kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lajos Vadász. That made the score 2-3 in the 95 minute of play.
