In the 8th minute of the match Vetusta got a corner. Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hanot Perdices ran over to the corner to take the kick. Lee Kerr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ascencio Quintas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ray De Lauw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kemalettin Torhan in the 13th minute of play. Clapham Comets F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ulysses Madureira in the 14th minute. Ulysses Madureira made a great header on Clapham Comets F.C.'s corner, it was just that Vetusta's Ray De Lauw managed to reach the ball for a save. 16 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ascencio Quintas came free, but Lee Kerr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes of play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Cumhur Tanacan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ray De Lauw was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lee Kerr made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Ascencio Quintas sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Lee Kerr had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ascencio Quintas. Lee Kerr didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ascencio Quintas went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 37 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goal looked a bit too open when Kemalettin Torhan came free, but Ray De Lauw reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses Madureira in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ray De Lauw saved Vetusta from getting behind. After 41 played minutes Vetusta got a freekick which was hit by Dorio Cacheres. In the 43rd match minute, Clapham Comets F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kemalettin Torhan to maneuver through the defense. Ascencio Quintas hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ascencio Quintas to make the kick off. Cumhur Tanacan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ray De Lauw made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Vetusta's goalkeeper Ray De Lauw had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cumhur Tanacan. 64 minutes into the match, Ascencio Quintas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Clapham Comets F.C.'s Lee Kerr. Lee Kerr was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68th minute, Cumhur Tanacan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ray De Lauw. The goal made the score 2-2. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Vetusta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolás Rua didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kemalettin Torhan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 74th playminute. Vetusta made a substitution. Normando Veloso replaced Jose-Manuel Jauregui. After 81 played minutes Vetusta got a freekick which was hit by Nicolás Rua. Nicolás Rua hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Kemalettin Torhan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Ray De Lauw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Vetusta's Normando Veloso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lee Kerr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
