With a little luck, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist got control of the ball when Teofil Pustak tried to sneak it across the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, DRUŻYNA ŚRODKA TABELI's goal looked a bit too open when Éric Cantona came free, but Jerzy Karaszkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerzy Karaszkiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakub Ziombkowski in the 11th minute of play. After taking down the ball on DRUŻYNA ŚRODKA TABELI's corner Teodoro Gamus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sebastian Hellkvist quite easily take care of the ball. After 17 played minutes Inter de Guayaquil FC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Barragan. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jakub Ziombkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Éric Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christos Kanakis in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Hellkvist saved Inter de Guayaquil FC from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jakub Ziombkowski in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerzy Karaszkiewicz saved DRUŻYNA ŚRODKA TABELI from getting behind. Jerzy Karaszkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Éric Cantona in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Éric Cantona got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Jakub Ziombkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Karaszkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerzy Karaszkiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éric Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pompiliu Cristian kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jörn Svartengren to make the kick off. Severo Weterio made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Teodoro Gamus. 66 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerzy Karaszkiewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saffet Ataergin in the 68th minute of play forced DRUŻYNA ŚRODKA TABELI's goalkeeper Jerzy Karaszkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörn Svartengren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerzy Karaszkiewicz having to make a save. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Sebastian Hellkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christos Kanakis in the 71st minute of play. DRUŻYNA ŚRODKA TABELI's Jerzy Karaszkiewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save DRUŻYNA ŚRODKA TABELI from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jerzy Karaszkiewicz. That made the score 0-2 after 74 minutes of play. DRUŻYNA ŚRODKA TABELI's Herbert Dec was substituted for Arnold Cockaerts. In the 81st minute, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jerzy Karaszkiewicz. Jerzy Karaszkiewicz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. The supporters of DRUŻYNA ŚRODKA TABELI booed when Inter de Guayaquil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Zanetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerzy Karaszkiewicz was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Jörn Svartengren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jörn Svartengren really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. 97 minutes into the match, Inter de Guayaquil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Dec came free, but Sebastian Hellkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Inter de Guayaquil FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
