Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Szolnoki MÁV from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute, Lajos Keresztesi made a precise shot to the right of Christer Waaler. Åsnes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Åsnes's goal looked a bit too open when Emesto Muñagorri came free, but Christer Waaler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Waaler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Varga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Szolnoki MÁV's Emesto Muñagorri in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Tor-Kristian Fosse got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathan Vie made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Martin Rustad shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mátyás Lisztes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Åsnes's Dan Ødegaard managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bálint Simon in the 59 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Vie in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mátyás Lisztes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christer Waaler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Varga in the 62nd minute of the match. Christer Waaler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emesto Muñagorri in the 65th minute. Lajos Keresztesi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Rustad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 80 minutes, Csanád Újvári managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Szolnoki MÁV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Csanád Újvári was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Åsnes getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Martin Rustad hit a great ball. When Roland Varga came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Szolnoki MÁV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roland Varga couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute of the match, Emesto Muñagorri got a very nice opportunity to score, but Christer Waaler was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Szolnoki MÁV's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Csanád Újvári in the 97th minute.
