Teodosio Ascencio hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Messina from getting a goal against them. Seyfi Baysal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Seyfi Baysal took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Yuriy Babushkin to make any attempt to save it. Yuriy Babushkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxim Tsigalko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxim Tsigalko might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yuriy Babushkin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxim Tsigalko ran back to his position shaking his head. คşk-ı trค๖ຊ໐ຖ's Maxim Tsigalko got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 32 played minutes Deportivo Messina got a freekick which was hit by Siro Lia. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Messina's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benny Koens was slow to take the kick. During this time คşk-ı trค๖ຊ໐ຖ's players had a chance to rest. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Deportivo Messina's Venancio Esiquio was substituted for Salvador Iztal. In the 55th minute, Sebastian Mergildo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Seyfi Baysal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maxim Tsigalko in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yuriy Babushkin saved Deportivo Messina from getting behind. คşk-ı trค๖ຊ໐ຖ's Fırat Şanver proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save คşk-ı trค๖ຊ໐ຖ from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute Seyfi Baysal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuriy Babushkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Messina's Fırat Şanver threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Teodosio Ascencio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seyfi Baysal in the 75th minute of play. Yuriy Babushkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seyfi Baysal in the 78th minute of play. Yuriy Babushkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seyfi Baysal, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Messina's zone, Seyfi Baysal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuriy Babushkin came out of the goal and Seyfi Baysal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. คşk-ı trค๖ຊ໐ຖ's Benny Koens got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo Messina's Yuriy Babushkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Tsigalko in the 90th minute of play. Alvaro Perfecto hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Benny Koens struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Yuriy Babushkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for คşk-ı trค๖ຊ໐ຖ. In the 96th minute Seyfi Baysal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuriy Babushkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Deportivo Messina's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
