After 60 minutes of play, The Waldos's Marin Ştefănescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kamal Pahlevi was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Tirant lo Blanch's Kamal Pahlevi got control of the ball when Alvaro Pagomari tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Leonard Treppa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Dewulf was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The Waldos made a substitution. The audience was convinced that Carmen Paniagua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Dewulf was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Carmen Paniagua's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Dewulf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play.
