With his leg Matias Carlomagno managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when GreenUnited's Yaman Akar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Severo Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastián Torrico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yaman Akar got free with Matias Carlomagno in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute San Lorenzo were awarded a corner. Gigi Penaru went to the cornerflag to take it. San Lorenzo's Gigi Penaru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebastián Torrico in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 25th minute, Mo Yi Sang made a precise shot to the right of Sebastián Torrico. GreenUnited's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Matias Carlomagno had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Chaniago. GreenUnited's Romeu Alagoano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matias Carlomagno in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Matias Carlomagno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. San Lorenzo's Ke Lin Mo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Frans Laine, made in the 81st minute of the game. Matias Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Chaniago, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The San Lorenzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. When the referee ended the match the GreenUnited players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
