In the 6thth minute of the game Dario Alegría who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TAXI-MM-'s Martin Alexa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 7 minutes TAXI-MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wágner Cearense who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on AVAÍ F.C.'s corner Wágner Cearense fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Martin Alexa quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcisio Chaves in the 9th minute of play forced TAXI-MM-'s goalkeeper Martin Alexa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 played minutes TAXI-MM- got a freekick which was hit by Robert Baita. After some careless play in the TAXI-MM- defense, Walmyr Salles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Martin Alexa. The TAXI-MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martin Alexa should have stopped the shot. Martin Alexa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Salles in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, TAXI-MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Dario Alegría came free, but Martin Alexa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, TAXI-MM-'s Ivan Cristescu got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jailson Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacek Krzynowek in the 40th minute of the match. Jailson Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Ipar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of TAXI-MM- booed when AVAÍ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 64th minute Dario Alegría shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Alexa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Alexa made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Tarcisio Chaves sent off a good shot on target. AVAÍ F.C. made a substitution. Wilton Abraão replaced Dario Alegría. If Yuan Di Xing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched AVAÍ F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
