Alexander Shaw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After 45 played minutes AC Papicho got a freekick which was hit by Egun Lisundia. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

AC Papicho made a substitution. Rodolfo Mora replaced Egun Lisundia. When Ulryk Huk came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the AC Papicho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulryk Huk couldn't finish the play. Alexander Shaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Salles in the 61st minute of play. Gianluca Lapadula took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jailson Teles. AC Papicho's Alexander Shaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Salles in the 69th minute of play. AVAÍ F.C.'s Manfredo Gerber managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Xavier Comillas in the 70 minute of the game. In the 72nd minute, Mika Ackerman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Manfredo Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVAÍ F.C.'s protests and gave Manfredo Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. Alexander Shaw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Jailson Teles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Frasquito Abrego went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. When Frasquito Abrego came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the AC Papicho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frasquito Abrego couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the game, Xavier Comillas threw the ball into play from the sideline. AVAÍ F.C.'s Manfredo Gerber quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. AC Papicho's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
