When Edvard Carlsson came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Goblins F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvard Carlsson couldn't finish the play. Aydemir Okyar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvard Carlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vangel Hrulev hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Shen Yi Yuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrzej Juskowiak in the 45th minute of the match. Torsten Alin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shen Yi Yuan having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Andrzej Juskowiak might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shen Yi Yuan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrzej Juskowiak ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrzej Juskowiak in the 57th minute of play forced Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Shen Yi Yuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrzej Juskowiak in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shen Yi Yuan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aydemir Okyar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 92nd minute, Cris Beckenbauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vivaldo Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Goblins F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Goblins F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
