If Teodoro Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the match, F.Salgado F.C.'s Teodoro Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Diehl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The tension between the Melbourne 007 and the F.Salgado F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Rudy Gummow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, F.Salgado F.C.'s Aílton Freire got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Melbourne 007 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. F.Salgado F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
