The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brandon Galvin during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Brandon Galvin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Thomas Diehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. F.Salgado F.C.'s Robert Macaneață was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thomas Diehl in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Teodoro Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Diehl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Elpidio Sengrat thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Thomas Diehl, a very annoying self made goal in the 37th minute which led to 1-1. In the 41st minute Siro Rainerio suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. F.Salgado F.C.'s Paulo José França was substituted for Siro Rainerio. 44 minutes into the match, Melbourne 007's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Moreno came free, but Thomas Diehl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 47th minute of the game. One of Melbourne 007:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of F.Salgado F.C.:s goal. When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, F.Salgado F.C.'s Teodoro Moreno got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Thomas Diehl. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodoro Moreno was the one to do the kick off. 66 minutes into the match, Melbourne 007's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Moreno came free, but Thomas Diehl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rex Wenham's late challenge caught a F.Salgado F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rex Wenham helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Melbourne 007 getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rex Wenham hit a great ball. Melbourne 007 were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after F.Salgado F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joshua Mccormick took the corner. Matt Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 秦梁翀 in the 75th minute of play. The corner led Melbourne 007's Rudy Gummow to fire away a dangerous shot which Matt Ryan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, F.Salgado F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Burhanettin Utman came free, but Matt Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, F.Salgado F.C.'s Teodoro Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thomas Diehl narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Moreno in the 85th minute of play forced Melbourne 007's goalkeeper Thomas Diehl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Melbourne 007 defense, Teodoro Moreno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Diehl. The Melbourne 007 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Diehl should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Melbourne 007 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.Salgado F.C..
