After a defensive mix-up in Arroyito FC's zone, Aurel Pandrea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Navarro Montoya came out of the goal and Aurel Pandrea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Navarro Montoya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurel Pandrea in the 22nd minute. Traian Constantinescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Carlos Navarro Montoya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miroslav Kvita in the 28th minute of play forced Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Radu Isaicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arroyito FC's Carlos Navarro Montoya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Arroyito FC from getting a goal against them. Carlos Navarro Montoya was a little too slow when Aurel Pandrea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 39th minute, Gervasio Unax hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

56 minutes into the match, Arroyito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Ciorăscu came free, but Carlos Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Arroyito FC's Venancio Etor to fire away a dangerous shot which Radu Isaicu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Radu Isaicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Kvita in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Aurel Pandrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurel Pandrea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Carlos Navarro Montoya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel-Omar Santirso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radu Isaicu having to interfere. The Steaua Bucuresti support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
