Edgar Souto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ferrán Suarez came out and tried to block the shot, but Edgar Souto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute Romualdo Hetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, C.D. Pepino’s's Norino Zuasnabar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Baiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 22nd minute Aurelio Raffo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Valadares. A collision led to C.D. Pepino’s getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Romualdo Hetz hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, C.D. Pepino’s's goalkeeper Ferrán Suarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Souto. Eduardo Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Raffo in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Inter Gala's Richard Mendonça dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. 39 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Ferrán Suarez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 43 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Romualdo Hetz came free, but Eduardo Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inter Gala were furious when Sandrinho Fontes was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 45th minute, one of Inter Gala:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Inter Gala. Inter Gala made a substitution. Heinz Stalder replaced Jaime Rodrigues. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Romualdo Hetz made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano got control of the ball when Norino Zuasnabar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match, Norino Zuasnabar tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eduardo Baiano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eduardo Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurelio Raffo in the 64th minute of the match. If Aurelio Raffo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of C.D. Pepino’s booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inter Gala made a substitution. Donato Capixaba replaced Karl-Magnus Biörkquist. In the 79th match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st match minute, C.D. Pepino’s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tito Solo to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Heinz Stalder made a precise shot to the right of Ferrán Suarez. C.D. Pepino’s's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. Norino Zuasnabar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Mendonça in the 93rd minute of play forced C.D. Pepino’s's goalkeeper Ferrán Suarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norino Zuasnabar, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Aurelio Raffo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Inter Gala had won after a very even match.
