The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julian Borcz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beinn Speight's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Shi Zhen Liang struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Sofoklis Prinianakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Auktsjaur IF. Sofoklis Prinianakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Zhen Liang in the 11th minute of play. Patryk Frodyma scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sofoklis Prinianakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Auktsjaur IF were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Henley on Thames United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luis Neto took the corner. Julian Borcz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake Marriott in the 19th minute of play. Julian Borcz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Houghton in the 23rd minute of the match. Julian Borcz didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Henley on Thames United's Carl Houghton shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 26th match minute, Auktsjaur IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Patryk Frodyma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Sofoklis Prinianakis made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames United's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Zhen Liang came free, but Sofoklis Prinianakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kristian Ottaway to strike the kick off in the second half. Julian Borcz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Houghton in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Shi Zhen Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofoklis Prinianakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kristian Ottaway took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julian Borcz. Julian Borcz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Alexander Longthorn hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Henley on Thames United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Longthorn to maneuver through the defense. Sofoklis Prinianakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Nilsson in the 68th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carl Houghton got free with Julian Borcz in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Auktsjaur IF's Julian Borcz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jake Marriott in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Henley on Thames United's zone, Shi Zhen Liang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sofoklis Prinianakis came out of the goal and Shi Zhen Liang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 90 minutes into the match, Auktsjaur IF's Patryk Frodyma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sofoklis Prinianakis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Kristian Ottaway took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Julian Borcz to make any attempt to save it. The Henley on Thames United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Henley on Thames United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
