The Astral Roots Gdynia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sébastien Marionneau should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute, Marian Serwach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sébastien Marionneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Notis Bartzokas in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Astral Roots Gdynia's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolos Mavrokordatos came free, but Sébastien Marionneau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Co Wielaert in the 14th minute of play forced Green Horses's goalkeeper Theodosis Kassapis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apostolos Mavrokordatos scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sébastien Marionneau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Babbis Markatos hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Theodosis Kassapis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sylwester Hajduk, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolos Mavrokordatos in the 21st minute of play forced Astral Roots Gdynia's goalkeeper Sébastien Marionneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Serwach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sébastien Marionneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sotiris Barberopoulos in the 26th minute of play. Notis Bartzokas took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sébastien Marionneau. Sébastien Marionneau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Loukas Brizolakis kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Zygmunt Moizuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astral Roots Gdynia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zygmunt Moizuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute Notis Bartzokas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sébastien Marionneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sébastien Marionneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaios Petridis, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Astral Roots Gdynia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Green Horses were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Apostolos Mavrokordatos made the kick off in the second half. Theodosis Kassapis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zygmunt Moizuk in the 53rd minute of play. Notis Bartzokas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sébastien Marionneau having to interfere. Demis Mitsis's late challenge caught a Astral Roots Gdynia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Demis Mitsis helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Green Horses's Demis Mitsis got a free kick in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolos Mavrokordatos in the 68th minute of play forced Astral Roots Gdynia's goalkeeper Sébastien Marionneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Green Horses booed when Astral Roots Gdynia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Co Wielaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Green Horses's Sotiris Barberopoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sébastien Marionneau. That made the score 0-5 after 73 minutes of play. Astral Roots Gdynia made a substitution. Benedykt Jarosiewicz replaced Gustaw Tscherner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Apostolos Mavrokordatos in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sébastien Marionneau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led Green Horses's Olof Dalström to fire away a dangerous shot which Sébastien Marionneau despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gilbert Oliszewski lost his temper 85 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Astral Roots Gdynia made a substitution. Czeslaw Okropny replaced Co Wielaert. With a little luck, Astral Roots Gdynia's Sébastien Marionneau got control of the ball when Notis Bartzokas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Green Horses walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
