The supporters of The Old Boys booed when São Wilson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45thth minute of the game Monte Susanin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but São Wilson's Shi Feng Yun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Old Boys's Kubat Tuğrul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The Old Boys's Isidro Gartzi was substituted for Zygmunt Prusinowski.
