After 23 played minutes Zacisze Częstochowa got a freekick which was hit by Cyprian Kloczko. Nicolas Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Yuri Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dominik Piglowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicolas Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miroslaw Gollob having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicolas Romero made a kick off. Yuri Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jurand Cempa, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Minuano's zone, Gaston Zárate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Loureiro came out of the goal and Gaston Zárate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atlético Minuano's Yuri Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Margiris Nekrošius in the 58th minute of play.
