In the 8thth minute of the game Ahmet Çağrı Baykır who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, AYYILDIZ's goalkeeper Göktürk Semin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lutz Golke. In the 16th minute, Reinhard Baum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paul Heyckendorf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alp Arslan in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Antonio Romino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilie Zâncă kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Romino in the 27th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Ahmet Çağrı Baykır left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AYYILDIZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to AYYILDIZ getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Uluç Paksoy hit a great ball. When Alex Mansilha came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Academica Pulheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Mansilha couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the match, AYYILDIZ's goalkeeper Göktürk Semin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Ahrem. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Ruiz in the 38th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Gregorio Ruiz made the kick off in the second half. Antonio Romino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Paul Heyckendorf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academica Pulheim's Paul Heyckendorf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Academica Pulheim from getting a goal against them. Göktürk Semin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Mansilha, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Göktürk Semin came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Maxime Vrints. But to his dismay, Maxime Vrints quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 80th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxime Vrints to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Gregorio Ruiz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Heyckendorf. The goal made the score 1-2. AYYILDIZ's Göktürk Semin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugó Bøss in the 84th minute of play. Göktürk Semin came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Maxime Vrints. But to his dismay, Maxime Vrints quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. A hard shot 88 in the game by Gregorio Ruiz from a close distance when the talented Paul Heyckendorf managed to make a qualified save. Academica Pulheim's players were relieved. 90 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ahmet Çağrı Baykır. Göktürk Semin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxime Vrints in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, AYYILDIZ's Alp Arslan got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the AYYILDIZ players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
