The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zgierskie Zlewy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Wu Qi scored to the left of an out of position Karol Ruszkowski, making the score, 1-0. With a little luck, Zgierskie Zlewy's Karol Ruszkowski got control of the ball when Wu Qi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vince Di Cola came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Zgierskie Zlewy's Robert Doicaru. But to his dismay, Robert Doicaru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Vince Di Cola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf King in the 21st minute of the match. Wu Qi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karol Ruszkowski having to make a save. Zgierskie Zlewy's Karol Ruszkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Zgierskie Zlewy from getting a goal against them. Karol Ruszkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Bivall in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match Zgierskie Zlewy got a corner. Samurai's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robert Doicaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Rolf King got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vince Di Cola quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 29th minute of the match Zgierskie Zlewy got a corner. Samurai's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Robert Doicaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. Robert Doicaru made a great header on Zgierskie Zlewy's corner, it was just that Samurai's Vince Di Cola managed to reach the ball for a save. Karol Ruszkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Bivall in the 30th minute of the match. Karol Ruszkowski made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Allan Bivall sent off a good shot on target. Zgierskie Zlewy's Karol Ruszkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Zgierskie Zlewy from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Doicaru in the 35th minute of play forced Samurai's goalkeeper Vince Di Cola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karol Ruszkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wu Qi in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Samurai's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Doicaru came free, but Vince Di Cola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Samurai's Wu Qi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karol Ruszkowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Robert Doicaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Di Cola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Robert Doicaru got free with Vince Di Cola in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zgierskie Zlewy's Karol Ruszkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Bivall in the 60th minute of play. Samurai made a substitution. Åke Hamnberg replaced Hernán Grana. After a rather tough play, Samurai's Timmy Henriksson got a free kick in the 68th minute. Vince Di Cola made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Robert Doicaru sent off a good shot on target. 79 minutes into the match, Zgierskie Zlewy's goal looked a bit too open when Timmy Henriksson came free, but Karol Ruszkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hadi Özilhans short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Vince Di Cola to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Zgierskie Zlewy booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Vallander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zgierskie Zlewy's Dobromir Rukszcz was substituted for Norbert Podowski. Zgierskie Zlewy's Krzysztof Petrasz was substituted for Zdzislaw Moczkiewicz. Zgierskie Zlewy's Barnaba Bazylnikov was substituted for Robert Doicaru. The supporters of Zgierskie Zlewy booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Vallander didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute Wu Qi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Ruszkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aureliusz Kosakowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Vince Di Cola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zgierskie Zlewy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
