With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Gierlach in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mieszko Bierfass saved san isidro from getting behind. After 38 minutes san isidro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pavel Buculeasa who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Pavel Buculeasa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mieszko Bierfass quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 39th match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Pieters to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by san isidro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pavel Buculeasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Champions Iasi's players had a chance to rest. Álvaro Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mieszko Bierfass showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bérenger Pilet in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waldemar Gierlach to strike the kick off in the second half. Jacinto Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mieszko Bierfass read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Mieszko Bierfass made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Gierlach in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bérenger Pilet in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mieszko Bierfass prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Bérenger Pilet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Champions Iasi's Mieszko Bierfass threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bérenger Pilet, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Waldemar Gierlach kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mieszko Bierfass. That made the score 0-1 in the 67 minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Cristo Neto made a precise shot to the right of Broderick Ceney. Champions Iasi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 75 minutes into the game, Waldemar Gierlach recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mieszko Bierfass. Waldemar Gierlach showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 79 minutes into the match, Cristo Neto notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Champions Iasi's Broderick Ceney. Broderick Ceney was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. san isidro's Mieszko Bierfass proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save san isidro from getting a goal against them. If Álvaro Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Champions Iasi's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
