Jonas Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hüseyin Turan Elçibey in the 6th minute of play forced Blue Masters's goalkeeper Jonas Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Prestes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernanco Peso in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Fernanco Peso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 18th minute, Gong Guang Yi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blue Masters's goalie prevented a goal. 23 minutes into the match, Blue Masters's Gong Guang Yi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jon Iruegas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 26 played minutes Blue Masters got a freekick which was hit by Beniamin Filanowski. Gong Guang Yi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jon Iruegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernanco Peso in the 30th minute of play forced Blue Masters's goalkeeper Jonas Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernanco Peso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Prestes having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Prestes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernanco Peso in the 33rd minute of play forced Blue Masters's goalkeeper Jonas Prestes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fernanco Peso came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Sporting Cristal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernanco Peso couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the game, Beniamin Filanowski threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sporting Cristal's Sal Grandoso quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 43rd minute, Fernanco Peso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Fernanco Peso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dawid Laskowski made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Blue Masters's goalkeeper Jonas Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernanco Peso. After 54 minutes Blue Masters's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gertjan De Ryck who took care of the corner kick. Steven Tricoire thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jonas Prestes, a very annoying self made goal in the 55th minute which led to 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernanco Peso in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Prestes saved Blue Masters from getting behind. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blue Masters's goalkeeper Jonas Prestes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Fernanco Peso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Blue Masters defense, Fernanco Peso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Prestes. The Blue Masters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Prestes should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Blue Masters's Jonas Prestes got control of the ball when Fernanco Peso tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hüseyin Turan Elçibey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blue Masters made a substitution. Jim Liljeström replaced Dawid Laskowski. Christian Luciano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Christian Luciano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Prestes was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Blue Masters's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gertjan De Ryck was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Cristal's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Sporting Cristal's Hüseyin Turan Elçibey getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jon Iruegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Liljeström, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded Sporting Cristal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Blue Masters.
