In the 14th minute Eugênio Fontes suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. 14 minutes into the game, Estevão Ponte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. B.Z. F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Papão de WC the free kick. Grêmio Papão de WC's attentive Jâninho Melo managed to snatch the ball when José Vides made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. Paulo Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gedeon Káposztás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. B.Z. F.C.'s Paulo Teles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save B.Z. F.C. from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gedeon Káposztás in the 25th minute of play forced B.Z. F.C.'s goalkeeper Paulo Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Vides made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Grêmio Papão de WC's Jâninho Melo. Gedeon Káposztás's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Teles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Grêmio Papão de WC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, B.Z. For all the effort they put into the match, the B.Z. F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Grêmio Papão de WC.
