After having played for 5 minutes, Valério Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. B.Z. F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Valério Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Estevão Ponte hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Canalla Fuego got a corner. B.Z. F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonatan Benvide ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Aimar in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Teles saved B.Z. F.C. from getting behind. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Clemente Benvido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 20 minutes of play, B.Z. F.C.'s José Guilherme made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Benvido was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Canalla Fuego's Clemente Benvido got control of the ball when José Guilherme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Faustino Egoi hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the game Jonatan Benvide made a throw-in which Ciro Rosini played forward. Jonatan Benvide shot from long distance after 38 played minutes, a shot that Paulo Teles with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. Paulo Teles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Aimar's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Clemente Benvido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Estevão Ponte. In the 44th minute, Jonatan Benvide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Canalla Fuego's Nicolae Honcioiu was substituted for Diguinho Paraíba. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Aimar was the one to do the kick off. B.Z. F.C.'s Valério Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricky Kalischer took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Teles. Paulo Teles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Carlos Aimar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Paulo Teles skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Guilherme in the 66th minute of play forced Canalla Fuego's goalkeeper Clemente Benvido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Benvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Guilherme in the 68th minute of the match. Paulo Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Aimar, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Carlos Aimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Canalla Fuego made a substitution. Romeo Lon replaced Gian Leu. Carlos Aimars short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Paulo Teles to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Carlos Aimar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Paulo Teles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Clemente Benvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valério Vides in the 77th minute of the match. If Carlos Aimar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. B.Z. F.C.'s Paulo Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Aimar in the 90th minute of play. Clemente Benvido stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Estevão Ponte's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute, Nicolae Honcioiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Canalla Fuego had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
