Ian Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xacintu Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xanda FC's Ian Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xacintu Ribeiro in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute Xacintu Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xacintu Ribeiro went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Hernando Harroyo scored 0-3 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Melo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Hernando Harroyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xacintu Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Hernando Harroyo was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Bucaramanga's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Atlético Bucaramanga's Clément Labonne to fire away a dangerous shot which Ian Melo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 36th minute Xacintu Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Xacintu Ribeiro sped through Xanda FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ian Melo. 44 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xacintu Ribeiro came free, but Ian Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xacintu Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Melo having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xacintu Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Xacintu Ribeiros short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Ian Melo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 57 minutes into the game, Xacintu Ribeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ian Melo. Xacintu Ribeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. 70 minutes into the match, Xanda FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xacintu Ribeiro came free, but Ian Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xanda FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Xacintu Ribeiro scored to the left of an out of position Ian Melo, making the score, 0-6. Adam Czubski kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Ian Melo made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Xacintu Ribeiro sent off a good shot on target. Xacintu Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Ian Melo made a huge save. Norberto da Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norberto da Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st match minute, Xanda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto da Silva to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xacintu Ribeiro got free with Ian Melo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Xanda FC's Ian Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quico Gómez in the 86th minute of play. Hernando Harroyo's late challenge caught a Xanda FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hernando Harroyo helped the player get up and apologised. Hernando Harroyo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. A collision led to Atlético Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Alberino Vieitez hit a great ball. Atlético Bucaramanga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
