OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Espírito Santo in the 9th minute of play. Liu Yong Yong was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raimundo Espírito Santo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in OROTINENSE's zone, Raimundo Espírito Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liu Yong Yong came out of the goal and Raimundo Espírito Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Juventus PTM's Osvaldinho Messias ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Liu Yong Yong. Liu Yong Yong yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Osvaldinho Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Yenal Tanır got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Messias in the 37th minute of play forced OROTINENSE's goalkeeper Liu Yong Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yenal Tanır took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Liu Yong Yong. Liu Yong Yong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 44th minute, Osvaldinho Messias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when David Talamanca made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Songurhan Mete had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Raimundo Espírito Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Liu Yong Yong was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 61st minute Osvaldinho Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Yong Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
