When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Rimvydas Andrašiūnas took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for David Matthew to make any attempt to save it. Alejandro Martinez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enrique Mazza having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moreno Torricelli in the 38th minute of play forced FC Karamba's goalkeeper Enrique Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Martinez hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
