After a defensive mix-up in FC Montana's zone, Marcel Blanco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aydın Mehmet came out of the goal and Marcel Blanco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Patricio Aurre managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Montana's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Aurre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicodemo Recalde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcel Blanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aydın Mehmet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Blanco got free with Aydın Mehmet in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Montana's Aydın Mehmet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban José Norambuena in the 25th minute of play.
