Gugu Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Tahsin Elçioğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gugu Gaúcho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tahsin Elçioğlu scored 0-2 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gugu Gaúcho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tahsin Elçioğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Gaúcho having to interfere. Barra Funda F.C's Gugu Gaúcho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Barra Funda F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kropotkins pojkar were winning 0-7.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tahsin Elçioğlu to make the kick off. Gugu Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tahsin Elçioğlu in the 51st minute of play. Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo scored 0-8 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gugu Gaúcho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Tahsin Elçioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tahsin Elçioğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Gugu Gaúcho made a huge save. Tahsin Elçioğlu took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gugu Gaúcho. Gugu Gaúcho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Tahsin Elçioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Barra Funda F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tahsin Elçioğlu in the 67th minute of play forced Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peder Lidström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gugu Gaúcho having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Tahsin Elçioğlu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kropotkins pojkar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-11. Gugu Gaúcho came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Kropotkins pojkar's Jens-Åke Ahlquist. But to his dismay, Jens-Åke Ahlquist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-13. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barra Funda F.C's goalkeeper Gugu Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, Tahsin Elçioğlu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-14. Gugu Gaúcho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, Tahsin Elçioğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gugu Gaúcho. Barra Funda F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tahsin Elçioğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-15. In the 95th minute, one of Barra Funda F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barra Funda F.C. The referee gave Kropotkins pojkar a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gustavo-Hernán Vallejo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Barra Funda F.C's Gugu Gaúcho. 0-16. Kropotkins pojkar's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
