Estadio Gaviotas

Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Sílvio Veiga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Zein Tutupoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gus Wootton in the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Symba's Anis Achour got control of the ball when Arnoldo Pueblo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute Gaviotas FC were awarded a corner. Inocencio Patxi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Symba's goalie and right to Ivan Mancio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Symba's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Symba's Anis Achour proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Symba from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Gaviotas FC's zone, Gus Wootton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zein Tutupoli came out of the goal and Gus Wootton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anis Achour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocencio Patxi in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tacettin Umay came free, but Zein Tutupoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zein Tutupoli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sílvio Veiga went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Eleuterio Nardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 minutes of play, Symba's Tacettin Umay made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zein Tutupoli was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Pueblo got free with Anis Achour in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Geronimo Berenguer came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Gaviotas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geronimo Berenguer couldn't finish the play. Anis Achour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Berenguer in the 38th minute of play. Zein Tutupoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tacettin Umay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Geronimo Berenguer made a precise shot to the right of Anis Achour. Symba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. The audience was convinced that Geronimo Berenguer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anis Achour was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The Gaviotas FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Symba were winning 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Pueblo was the one to do the kick off. Symba's Tacettin Umay got a good chance for a goal in the 50th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zein Tutupoli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás San Juan in the 55th minute. Symba's Sílvio Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute Gus Wootton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zein Tutupoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Symba were furious when Muhammad Bejaoui was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 67th minute of the game. One of Symba:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gaviotas FC:s goal. In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Gaviotas FC. Geronimo Berenguer stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Anis Achour. 3-2. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Symba's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Inocencio Patxi was slow to take the kick. During this time Gaviotas FC's players had a chance to rest. Ivan Mancio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Julian in the 76th minute of play forced Symba's goalkeeper Anis Achour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Arnoldo Pueblo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anis Achour was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 80thth minute of the game Arnoldo Pueblo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Symba's Anis Achour was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anis Achour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Berenguer in the 85th minute of play. Sílvio Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Symba's Anis Achour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Pueblo in the 97th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gaviotas FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Symba had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
