Zbigniew Laba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Villa in the 36th minute of the match. Foguera's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anton Sundin in the 37th minute. Anton Sundin went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Foguera's corner David Villa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zbigniew Laba quite easily take care of the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Foguera's David Villa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zbigniew Laba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to Foguera getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Kong Chang Yue hit a great ball. With a little luck, Foguera's Santiago Cañizares got control of the ball when Wilfredo León tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Villa was the one to do the kick off. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo León, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Proca in the 59th minute of play forced Foguera's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbigniew Laba made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when David Villa sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Foguera booed when White Star Troopers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Proca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szymon Labus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Foguera's zone, Szymon Labus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Cañizares came out of the goal and Szymon Labus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Foguera's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
