When Manuel Morais came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Mercedes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Morais couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, Jesucristo es la Solución was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Jobo to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Jesucristo es la Solución's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Kauldi came free, but Nicasio Alonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristobal Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, one of Jesucristo es la Solución:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jesucristo es la Solución. In the 28th minute there was a penalty for Mercedes. Anier Mon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nicasio Alonso. 0-2. A sloppy throw-in by Rene Gentza in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mercedes's Teodosio Eutor. Nicasio Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Kauldi in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jesucristo es la Solución's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anier Mon was slow to take the kick. During this time Mercedes's players had a chance to rest. Cristobal Garcia thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Nicasio Alonso, a very annoying self made goal in the 34th minute which led to 0-3. Nicasio Alonso came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Mercedes's Fabian Ascencio. But to his dismay, Fabian Ascencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Nicasio Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Morais, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Honorato Kauldi made a precise shot to the right of Nicasio Alonso. Jesucristo es la Solución's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Nicasio Alonso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Honorato Kauldi went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roque Amor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Morais in the 53rd minute of play forced Jesucristo es la Solución's goalkeeper Nicasio Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Chinto got a throw-in 57 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Manuel Morais. Teodosio Eutor kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jesucristo es la Solución's goalkeeper Nicasio Alonso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Honorato Kauldi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mercedes made a substitution. Jan-Ivar Nordmo replaced Honorato Kauldi. After 73 minutes Jesucristo es la Solución's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anier Mon who took care of the corner kick. Nicasio Alonso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santo Rumaldo in the 75th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Jesucristo es la Solución's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Morais came free, but Nicasio Alonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mercedes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anier Mon in the 80th minute. The corner led to Mercedes's Jan-Ivar Nordmo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. If Jan-Ivar Nordmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. Nicasio Alonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Morais, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 91st match minute, Mercedes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Ascencio to maneuver through the defense. Nicasio Alonso was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Santo Rumaldo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Santo Rumaldo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7.
