In the 5th minute Edmílson Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Henric saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Manuel Cruz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Velloso having to make a save. In the 9th minute, Edmílson Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antonio Inko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Velloso having to interfere. With a little luck, Oranil's Juan Velloso got control of the ball when Juan Manuel Cruz tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Nilson Leão in the 15th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Azulgranas AFC's Radomir Naskrent. Juan Manuel Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Velloso having to interfere. In the 18thth minute of the game Juan Manuel Cruz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oranil's Juan Velloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 19 played minutes Oranil got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Proença. In the 27th match minute, Azulgranas AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michaël Myers to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Juan Manuel Cruz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Azulgranas AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Michaël Myers took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Michaël Myers came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Azulgranas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michaël Myers couldn't finish the play. Juan Manuel Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Velloso was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Radomir Naskrent capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Radomir Naskrent really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kléber Saldanha to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Juan Manuel Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Manuel Cruz in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Velloso saved Oranil from getting behind. Juan Manuel Cruz took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Leo Henric made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Saldanha in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Juan Manuel Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Manuel Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Velloso having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Manuel Cruz in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Manuel Cruz in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Mateo Transito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Juan Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Radomir Naskrent fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Velloso having to interfere. Azulgranas AFC's Radomir Naskrent quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sérgio Freire, made in the 89th minute of the game. Juan Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Radomir Naskrent went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Michaël Myers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Velloso having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oranil's Sérgio Freire got a free kick in the 95th minute. Azulgranas AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
