Michaël Myers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Juan Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Azulgranas AFC's Mateo Transito got a free kick in the 6th minute. Giovani Viana's late challenge caught a Azulgranas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovani Viana helped the player get up and apologised. Giovani Viana hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, Azulgranas AFC's goalkeeper Leo Henric had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio das Neves. Moisés de Sousa's late challenge caught a Azulgranas AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés de Sousa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Moisés de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juan Manuel Cruz in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juan Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Manuel Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Manuel Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan Manuel Cruz's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes Oranil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Radomir Naskrent who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Azulgranas AFC's Michaël Myers to fire away a dangerous shot which Juan Velloso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 29th minute, Juan Manuel Cruz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juan Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Azulgranas AFC's Juan Manuel Cruz in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oranil's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Oranil getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Moisés de Sousa hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Sérgio Freire in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Azulgranas AFC's Radomir Naskrent. When Juan Manuel Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Azulgranas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Manuel Cruz couldn't finish the play. Azulgranas AFC's Radomir Naskrent managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sérgio Freire in the 43 minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Juan Manuel Cruz put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Velloso. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Manuel Cruz made a kick off. Azulgranas AFC's Radomir Naskrent got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Flavio Beremundo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Velloso having to make a save. Juan Velloso came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Azulgranas AFC's Juan Manuel Cruz. But to his dismay, Juan Manuel Cruz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Juan Manuel Cruzs short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Juan Velloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Juan Velloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radomir Naskrent in the 67th minute. Juan Manuel Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Velloso having to interfere. The supporters of Oranil booed when Azulgranas AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Transito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Henric showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Juan Manuel Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Juan Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Manuel Cruz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Juan Velloso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Kléber Saldanha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Henric. Azulgranas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kléber Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Leo Henric showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Catarinense in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Azulgranas AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Oranil.
