Alvaro Rudolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santos Montel in the 10th minute. Alvaro Rudolfo made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Santos Montel sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Thiago Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardino Dimas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Coritiba Foot Ball Club's corner Jonas Velloso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bernardino Dimas quite easily take care of the ball. Thiago Machado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardino Dimas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Artur Laguna hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the last second Alvaro Rudolfo throw himself and got hold of the ball when Santos Montel in the 22ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 24 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Montel came free, but Alvaro Rudolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Montel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Alvaro Rudolfo got control of the ball when Angelino Inautzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 38 minutes Coritiba Foot Ball Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Eduardo da Silveira who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Eduardo da Silveira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alvaro Rudolfo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Angelino Inautzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Alvaro Rudolfo made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Coritiba Foot Ball Club made a substitution. Fausto Romero replaced Thor Machado. Angelino Inautzi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Rudolfo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes Coritiba Foot Ball Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Eduardo da Silveira who took care of the corner kick. Fausto Romero came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernardino Dimas could save by the left post. Bernardino Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Montenegro in the 72nd minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Carlos Eduardo Dracena managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Bernardino Dimas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquez Padolles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 82 minutes into the game, Angelino Inautzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alvaro Rudolfo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fausto Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Bernardino Dimas made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Marquez Padolles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardino Dimas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fausto Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Bernardino Dimas made a huge save. Bernardino Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquez Padolles in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Evaristo Montenegro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bernardino Dimas, 2-1. The Atlético Rio Cuarto support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
