Antoni Kirliev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shawn Ashby having to make a save. In the 10th minute, American Top Team's Stanley Houston seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Stanley Houston the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of American Top Team protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Stanley Houston had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of FC Old Dogs United booed when American Top Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Simons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerardo Oskitz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Shawn Ashby 16 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Gerardo Oskitz took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Shawn Ashby to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Gerardo Oskitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Old Dogs United's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Oskitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shawn Ashby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shawn Ashby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Oskitz in the 24th minute of play. Shawn Ashby was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerardo Oskitz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 6-0 in the 36 minute of play. Shawn Ashby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antoni Kirliev, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Eddy Simons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Gerardo Oskitz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Shawn Ashby, 7-0. Rocky Starlight hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes American Top Team got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Simons. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 7-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Oskitz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Oskitz in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shawn Ashby saved American Top Team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, American Top Team's Eddy Simons got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the game, FC Old Dogs United's Czeslaw Mios nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shawn Ashby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Arnoldo Short's late challenge caught a FC Old Dogs United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Short helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st match minute, American Top Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Short to maneuver through the defense. Shawn Ashby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Mios, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Shawn Ashby didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerardo Oskitz went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. 69 minutes into the game, FC Old Dogs United's Antoni Kirliev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. FC Old Dogs United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Oskitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antoni Kirliev in the 90th minute of play forced American Top Team's goalkeeper Shawn Ashby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by American Top Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Czeslaw Mios was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Old Dogs United's players had a chance to rest. FC Old Dogs United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
