The wind increased when Hugo Guerra made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Vampiros Aztecas booed when Spartans FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar San Juan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hugo Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Chayo having to make a save. In the 62nd minute Hugo Guerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Chayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Spartans FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
