Haroldas Strazdas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brookes Crane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Paz Gledden sped through Spartans FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Haroldas Strazdas. The Leeton United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Haroldas Strazdas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brookes Crane showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 36 minute of play. Hugo Guerra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erlend Sørby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Spartans FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Leeton United FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amado Dagorret took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Edgar San Juan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erlend Sørby quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Spartans FC's Hugo Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Baal Muncaster fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leeton United FC's protests and gave Baal Muncaster a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes Leeton United FC got a freekick which was hit by Baal Muncaster. Erlend Sørby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Barba in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paz Gledden to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paz Gledden in the 53rd minute of play forced Spartans FC's goalkeeper Haroldas Strazdas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erlend Sørby stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hugo Guerra's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Leeton United FC's Erlend Sørby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Leeton United FC from getting a goal against them. Hugo Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spartans FC's Haroldas Strazdas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paz Gledden in the 65th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Bjorn Gaffigan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leeton United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spartans FC the free kick. Bjorn Gaffigan hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match.
