The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurek Ohrem in the 4th minute of play forced STORM's goalkeeper Efim Fedotov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, STORM's Efim Fedotov got control of the ball when Silvestre Loi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacek Matuch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Bolshakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, STORM's goal looked a bit too open when Teodor Covaci came free, but Efim Fedotov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efim Fedotov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jurek Ohrem showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. With a little luck, STORM's Efim Fedotov got control of the ball when Jurek Ohrem tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacek Matuch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stepan Holodovskiy in the 20th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match, Éthan Pichard got a very nice opportunity to score, but Efim Fedotov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 27th minute of the match SV Bad Harzburg got a corner. STORM's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jurek Ohrem ran over to the corner to take the kick. Efim Fedotov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 44th minute Jurek Ohrem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efim Fedotov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SV Bad Harzburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave STORM the free kick. Silvestre Loi kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stepan Holodovskiy to make the kick off. Efim Fedotov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toralf Hell, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Efim Fedotov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éthan Pichard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvestre Loi in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efim Fedotov saved STORM from getting behind. SV Bad Harzburg's Silvestre Loi managed to work through STORM's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Silvestre Loi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 65th minute Silvestre Loi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efim Fedotov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, SV Bad Harzburg's Silvestre Loi made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Efim Fedotov was left in no man's land by his defense there! STORM's Grigoriy Agapov managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Takeshi Bieberstein in the 70 minute of the game. Toralf Hell hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Oleg Rodimov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for STORM! Takeshi Bieberstein made in the 83rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by STORM's Grigoriy Agapov. 83 minutes into the match, STORM's Roman Bolshakov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacek Matuch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. But to his dismay, Teodor Covaci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 101st match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Covaci to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SV Bad Harzburg fully deserved thier win.
