Bearnaise EA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edgar Malmberg in the 21st minute. After taking down the ball on Bearnaise EA's corner Edgar Malmberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ariel Ponc quite easily take care of the ball. Ariel Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Sayvion, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Bruno Sayvion left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bearnaise EA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After a rather tough play, Villa Mitre City's Arsenio Maria got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Chus Insausti fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Mitre City's protests and gave Chus Insausti a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Bruno Sayvion left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bearnaise EA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. 36 minutes into the match, Arsenio Maria had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Svante Björkdahl. Bearnaise EA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arsenio Maria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Bearnaise EA were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Villa Mitre City made a substitution. Benigno Ibañez replaced Chus Insausti. Villa Mitre City's Imam Sarwono was substituted for Saturnino Lehior. 56 minutes into the match, Feliciano Fernendo notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Bearnaise EA's Svante Björkdahl. Svante Björkdahl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Ariel Ponc when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Sayvion got free with Ariel Ponc in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute of the match, Bruno Sayvion tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ariel Ponc saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Sayvion in the 86th minute of play forced Villa Mitre City's goalkeeper Ariel Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Villa Mitre City's Generoso Laurgain quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Leonardo Mårtensson, made in the 89th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Imam Sarwono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Mitre City's supporters rose to their feet, but Imam Sarwono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Svante Björkdahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
