In the 5th minute, Kuzey Kırgız left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Brzesko City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alphonso Davies charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alphonso Davies the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Uwe Kuhni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbyszko Kajder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willi Reutter came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tanek Wojtyna could save by the left post. Kuzey Kırgız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Kuhni having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbyszko Kajder in the 26th minute of play forced Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalkeeper Uwe Kuhni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Blau Weiß Sauerland's Willi Reutter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tanek Wojtyna narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Uwe Kuhni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszko Kajder in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 37th minute Alessio Bongartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Wojtyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 38 played minutes Blau Weiß Sauerland got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Bongartz. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Pingel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cezary Pilarski fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Brzesko City's protests and gave Cezary Pilarski a yellow card for diving instead. Cezary Pilarski kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Adam Pingel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Tanek Wojtyna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half FC Brzesko City were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When FC Brzesko City's Zbyszko Kajder in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalie prevented a goal. Tanek Wojtyna came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Blau Weiß Sauerland's Alessio Bongartz. But to his dismay, Alessio Bongartz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willi Reutter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th match minute, Blau Weiß Sauerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Pingel to maneuver through the defense. Kuzey Kırgız fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uwe Kuhni having to interfere. The supporters of FC Brzesko City booed when Blau Weiß Sauerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessio Bongartz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kuzey Kırgız was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. FC Brzesko City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Alessio Bongartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalkeeper Uwe Kuhni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zbyszko Kajder. FC Brzesko City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cezary Pilarski in the 74th minute. After taking down the ball on FC Brzesko City's corner Cezary Pilarski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Uwe Kuhni quite easily take care of the ball. In the 75th match minute, FC Brzesko City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylwester Kasiewski to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute Willi Reutter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Wojtyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match FC Brzesko City got a corner. Blau Weiß Sauerland's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cezary Pilarski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tanek Wojtyna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessio Bongartz, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Blau Weiß Sauerland's goal looked a bit too open when Kuzey Kırgız came free, but Uwe Kuhni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Kuzey Kırgız hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Alessio Bongartz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tanek Wojtyna. FC Brzesko City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alessio Bongartz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Uwe Kuhni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kuzey Kırgız, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Adam Pingel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blau Weiß Sauerland's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Pingel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tanek Wojtyna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Brzesko City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Blau Weiß Sauerland.
