With an all-out effort, Gimnasia y tiro's Anier Urtats threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernardino Quintin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Quintin in the 21st minute of play forced C.A. Línea Rotativa's goalkeeper Anier Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severo Larra might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wieslaw Panasewicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severo Larra ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Dong Jian Yang took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Anier Urtats to make any attempt to save it. Anier Urtats made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dong Jian Yang in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Astor Eguntsenti made a precise shot to the right of Wieslaw Panasewicz. Gimnasia y tiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 42 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Eguntsenti came free, but Wieslaw Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y tiro from getting a goal against them. C.A. Línea Rotativa's Anier Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Montrelle in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Mouricio to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y tiro's Luciano Mouricio got a free kick in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Rolando Pasqual managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Línea Rotativa's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Pasqual was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wieslaw Panasewicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute, Reynaldo Montrelle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 80th minute Mehmed Paşa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wieslaw Panasewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Línea Rotativa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A. Línea Rotativa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
