The Sociedad Anónima fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gianluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Zima in the 8th minute of play. In the 8thth minute of the game Edgar Zima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sociedad Anónima's Gianluigi Buffon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute FC Szczucin were awarded a corner. Edmund Walentowicz went to the cornerflag to take it. FC Szczucin were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Sociedad Anónima's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmund Walentowicz took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Edmund Walentowicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gianluigi Buffon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gianluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Barbu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sociedad Anónima's Marino Malet got a free kick in the 21st minute. Emanuel Barbu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gianluigi Buffon having to make a save. In the 28th minute Velasco Rollan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Swoboda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, FC Szczucin's goalkeeper Iwan Swoboda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marino Malet. After 33 minutes FC Szczucin's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zavior Negral who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Zavior Negral almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Szczucin's Iwan Swoboda did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velasco Rollan in the 41st minute of play forced FC Szczucin's goalkeeper Iwan Swoboda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sociedad Anónima's Felix Larren was substituted for Marino Malet. Iwan Swoboda came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan. But to his dismay, Velasco Rollan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Sociedad Anónima's Gianluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Barbu in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Szczucin's zone, Velasco Rollan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iwan Swoboda came out of the goal and Velasco Rollan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwan Swoboda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner ended in Zavior Negral almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Szczucin's Iwan Swoboda did a great save. After some careless play in the Sociedad Anónima defense, Emanuel Barbu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gianluigi Buffon. The Sociedad Anónima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gianluigi Buffon should have stopped the shot. FC Szczucin's Iwan Swoboda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Larren in the 70th minute of play. FC Szczucin's attentive Iwan Mroczynski managed to snatch the ball when Incendio Aranda made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. 75 minutes into the match, Emanuel Barbu notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Sociedad Anónima's Gianluigi Buffon. Gianluigi Buffon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iwan Swoboda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velasco Rollan, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Velasco Rollan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sociedad Anónima's supporters crossed their fingers, but Velasco Rollan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sociedad Anónima's Santiago García was substituted for Baldomiro Cubillo. After a rather tough play, FC Szczucin's Alfredo Rey got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velasco Rollan in the 90th minute of play forced FC Szczucin's goalkeeper Iwan Swoboda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwan Swoboda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 93rd minute, Badaz Kibøl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
