Malmö White Knights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvijs Presley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, North Pole Kickers's Johnny Banks threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Michael Ahlbeck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Elvijs Presley's late challenge caught a North Pole Kickers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elvijs Presley helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Elvijs Presley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Banks showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Ahlbeck, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roby Baggio was the one to do the kick off. Elvijs Presley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. North Pole Kickers's Folke Bure proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save North Pole Kickers from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes into the match, North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvijs Presley. Elvijs Presley's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Folke Bure firmly grabbed it by the left post. North Pole Kickers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andréas Åkerman in the 68th minute. Malmö White Knights's Johnny Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Tomasson in the 70th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Malmö White Knights left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than North Pole Kickers.
