After 3 played minutes AFC CERBEROS got a freekick which was hit by Carmelo Saturnin. The audience was convinced that Felix Azibar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Betão Pontes was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Betão Pontes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anacleto Sanchez went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Betão Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Azibar, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Betão Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Azibar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, AFC CERBEROS's Mauro Joachim got control of the ball when Ludomir Zacharek tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Azibar in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Betão Pontes saved GKS Katowice from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Azibar in the 36th minute of play forced GKS Katowice's goalkeeper Betão Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

GKS Katowice made a substitution. Lucjan Werra replaced Ludomir Zacharek. The wind increased when Lucjan Werra made the kick off in the second half. Olgierd Sokolski lost his temper 57 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 63 minutes, Cezary Kasiewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GKS Katowice and the AFC CERBEROS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cezary Kasiewski hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The long shot by Urbano Chinto in the 64th minute really tested Betão Pontes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 77th minute of the game Cristobal Orlandus made a throw-in which Felix Azibar played forward. In the 78th minute, Felix Azibar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, GKS Katowice's Olgierd Cwojdak got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 83 minutes into the game, Felix Azibar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Betão Pontes. Felix Azibar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 88th minute, Lucjan Werra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GKS Katowice fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. With a little luck, GKS Katowice's Betão Pontes got control of the ball when Felix Azibar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Azibar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Betão Pontes firmly grabbed it by the left post. The AFC CERBEROS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AFC CERBEROS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
