After 14 minutes, Liu Chao Xiao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club 23 and the Gremio NG players grew even worse after the yellow card. Liu Chao Xiao kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liu Chao Xiao in the 17th minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Club 23's Liu Chao Xiao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fábio Pinheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Gremio NG got a freekick which was hit by Christian Figueiredo. Dacian Săraru struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Fábio Pinheiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club 23.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sandro Nogueira to strike the kick off in the second half. When Club 23's Bogdan Bogdanović in 53 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Fábio Pinheiro guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Fábio Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liu Chao Xiao in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gremio NG's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dacian Săraru was slow to take the kick. During this time Club 23's players had a chance to rest. At last the ball reached Emil Cioran at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Gremio NG. 0-3. With a little luck, Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro got control of the ball when Liu Chao Xiao tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Liu Chao Xiao who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liu Chao Xiao's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Fábio Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liu Chao Xiao went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Gremio NG's zone, Liu Chao Xiao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Pinheiro came out of the goal and Liu Chao Xiao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 73 minutes into the match, Liu Chao Xiao had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio Pinheiro. Gremio NG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Liu Chao Xiao was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 77 minutes into the game, Club 23's Liu Chao Xiao nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fábio Pinheiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Bogdan Bogdanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Gremio NG booed when Club 23 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nae Lalescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liu Chao Xiao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Pinheiro having to interfere. Fábio Pinheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liu Chao Xiao's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Liu Chao Xiao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club 23's supporters rose to their feet, but Liu Chao Xiao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Liu Chao Xiao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Pinheiro having to interfere. Club 23's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
