The audience was convinced that He Kuan Ning's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Lokomotiv Sick-Sack were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Earl Grey took the corner. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's Đỗ Remi. But to his dismay, Đỗ Remi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. He Kuan Ning's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but August Hoffmanns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Earl Grey who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie and right to Alfons Arenius. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's He Kuan Ning in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling He Kuan Ning in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers He Kuan Ning in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Hoffmanns saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind. The Lokomotiv Sick-Sack fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's He Kuan Ning looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. He Kuan Ning struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. August Hoffmanns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lokomotiv Sick-Sack. In the 36th minute He Kuan Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Hoffmanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, He Kuan Ning left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lokomotiv Sick-Sack fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 42 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Salkvist came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mesut Özil kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Lokomotiv Sick-Sack were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, He Kuan Ning managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's supporters crossed their fingers, but He Kuan Ning was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th match minute, Lokomotiv Sick-Sack was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tipi Cazorla to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes Lokomotiv Sick-Sack got a freekick which was hit by Tipi Cazorla. In the 58th match minute, Lokomotiv Sick-Sack was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Lindström to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Đỗ Remi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's Peter Martinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anestis Kotsopoulos in the 62nd minute of play. August Hoffmanns was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Patrik Wahlström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patrik Wahlström really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Peter Martinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Haupt in the 68th minute of the match. Henry Salkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximilian Henning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Peter Martinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. August Hoffmanns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrik Wahlström's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Hakem Al Khames kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's corner Enzo Pérez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and August Hoffmanns quite easily take care of the ball. Patrik Wahlström kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 88thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Rot-Weiss-Essen's keeper August Hoffmanns was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 89th minute of the match Lokomotiv Sick-Sack got a corner. Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Earl Grey ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Earl Grey almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns did a great save. August Hoffmanns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrik Wahlström in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Sick-Sack's Patrik Wahlström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that August Hoffmanns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95th minute Lokomotiv Sick-Sack were awarded a corner. Earl Grey went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Earl Grey got away a dangerous shot. Despite this August Hoffmanns quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lokomotiv Sick-Sack walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
